In 2016, legendary grape grower Andy Beckstoffer made a bold move in Lake County. Owning ToKalon, Dr.Crane, George III, Las Piedras to name a few, Beckstoffer has secured his spot as Napa’s top landowner and grape grower. His grapes consistently fetch the industry’s top prices and wines bearing his vineyard names have garnered more 100-point scores than any other.

But what few know is that he is most excited about his high elevation, 1,200+ acre Amber Knolls Vineyard within the Red Hills AVA of Lake County that he purchased in 1997. So excited, in fact, that in 2016 he selected 10 top winemakers to make a wine from this stunning red soiled vineyard. He gave them each an acre of fruit to work with.
